| Rotary Thermoformer Drive System |
This is a drive system for a rotary thermoformer that makes serving trays for frozen food. The system includes an Allen-Bradley FlexLogix automation controller, Flex I/O, PanelView 600 operator interface, and 5 Reliance GV3000 flux vector AC drives. This system is installed in Ireland which is part of the European Union. The system is CE compliant and includes several special features. The drive system enclosure and cooling fans are rated to meet the EU EMC directive for low radiated emissions. An AC line mains filter is provided to minimize power line disturbances caused by the drive system. Special rails are provided near the customer connection terminal blocks to allow the grounding of shielded VFD motor cables. All circuit protection devices are CE compliant. Similar systems are installed at plant locations in the southeast, midwest, and Canada. The US and Canadian systems are UL and cUL compliant.
