| Plastic Film Reprocessing Drive System |
This is a control system that controls several motors on a plastic film recycling machine. Three Reliance GV3000 AC drives which control the crammer, the conveyor, and the pelletizer are located in another cabinet not shown. A 300 HP Reliance Flexpak 3000 DC drive is also located in a remote cabinet which is not shown. The drives are controlled by the Reliance PC3000 AutoMAX controller and a single RG59 coax cable is used to network the drives. The control cabinet houses Allen-Bradley Flex I/O to connect to extrusion zone thermocouples and to gate solid state relays to switch power to the heater zones. Bus bars are used to distribute power to the individual heater zones. An Allen-Bradley PanelView 600 color operator interface is used to allow the operator to change temperature and pressure set points and monitor operation of the heat and pressure zones as well as monitor and control the operation of the drives. The conveyor drive feedrate is controlled by a torque feedback loop from the crammer drive to provide optimum feeding of the plastic film to be recycled.
